i have come to loathe rain… it means getting no work done until i am able to invest in a larger UPS. wasn’t a complete loss of a day though, i did manage to get the audio settings panel hooked up and working.

it was surprisingly simple, thanks to Unity’s nifty audio mixer system. the only real curve ball was selecting DYNAMIC float when setting up the slider’s onDrag method.

as far as adding the sound effects themselves, i went with a few from the first “free for business use” pack i downloaded from freesound.org… not very creative i know, maybe i’ll be motivated to create my own one day, but i’m getting to the point where i am considering using “free” assets where i can to cut down on development time. i wish i didn’t have to make the artistic compromise honestly, but my environment grows more impatient with each passing day.
