second day of modeling… really didn’t do much yesterday, but was pretty productive today. always seems like it just takes a bit of time for the form to sink in.
i couldn’t figure out the last little bit for example, and have kinda sub consciencely saved the hardest part to figure for last; kinda a running theme of mine. my eyes were feeling strained and perhaps that was just from being at it for around 8 hours, but i think it’ll sink in a bit over night and i’ll model it in a few minutes and be on with it in the morning.
not gonna UV before ZBrush this time, will do so on a per mesh basis if mask retention is necessary. all i really need for my new workflow is basic form sculpting for everything i didn’t model by hand in Maya and Polypaint/vertex color data for material IDs. what takes time is retopology. i need to look into it more if the whole high res phase is worth it, or if there is some faster method.
FFXIV for the rest of the evening. going to try and remember what it’s all about… modeling is draining
