returned to my Houdini training have to finish up the last couple chapters even though I suppose I started to loose interest because I’d absorbed most of the techniques, I think it’s important to finish out the course
also trying to allow a bit of time to let the feedback I received on the game sink in further I’ve made a collection of the cliffs notes and am trying to quantify the observations into a sort of checklist
there are already numerous things I could do, but I have a tendency to put off the “small things”. it’s almost as if I have to have all the big picture type stuff kinda figured before I waste time generating the easy content.
not sure if I should pursue a procedural way of generating the background terrain, or look into generating a sort of collision environment to layer on top. possibly a bit of both.
it would probably be better to implement the basic functions I’m still missing so I can get some testing feedback and balance the mechanics further.
