i keep going back and forth between feeling really accomplished and totally unproductive. can my disposition be attributed to the current pandemic the world faces? who knows? the level stat bonuses and currency collection actually add a refreshing dynamic to the game loop and drive the player to perform other behaviors than just attack and dodge. i felt like the passion to create was reinvigorated when i was able to implement these two features much more quickly than i anticipated, but the refreshment seems shortlived. still need a way to prevent the collider needed for the collection’s collision from interacting with the hazards and moving them about. tries using collision layers, but maybe i’ll just key the collider on and off with the damage animation… it doesn’t really make sense to be able to collect things while you’re damaged anyway, i suppose
