saturday work have i tried to work on a saturday before and not found success? feels familiar, but i suppose failure in general should… it’s okay, i am not insane yet; but i am getting there. several days spent trying to do something i initially thought would be trivial, as if in direct defiance of the unexpected progress i have made on the vendor system ended up making a very difficult decision to that effected equipment items in the game. the more i think about the actual implications of the game mechanics i decided on, the less i think what i was going for was actually needed… in fact it would be kind of redundant, unless there was some sort of crafting system that used equipment for ingredients this brings me to the issue i’ve been struggling with: unfortunately, i cannot find a way to match or compare, specific pieces of equipment. this baffles me. alas, i can tell the objects are in fact equipment, but even accessing the name property of the object results in a null-reference exception so i made the difficult decision, to not allow equipment to be sold at all and in regard to purchases, be bought only a single time. therefore, there is never any need to calculate the amount in the inventory
