bare bones menu/pause implemented

i feel like a lot of progress has occured since my last DevLog. i have been working on the menu system for my game and have a rudimentary build already playable on my phone.

first enemy type finished and began UI

decent progress today, finished implementing the first enemy type… definitely makes the game more difficult, hah. i also stated work on the UI, by creating custom 9-sliced sprites i rendered from hi-res geometry made in Maya and composited in Photoshop.

learnt unity particle system and created engine fx

spent some time learning the Unity particle system Shuriken… its really not THAT much different from what i was used to from Unreal Engine 3 in college. i created the player and enemy engine fx.

finished texturing first enemy ship type

textured the entire first enemy ship in less than a day. very impressed with Substance Painter.
